Let’s face it, being a girl boss isn’t always easy. While we’re out there hustlin’ every day and doing amazing things, fear and self-doubt can make it feel like we’re barely getting by. So what are the mantras that we live by to get us through the tough days? We scoured the web for our favorites and here they are:
Always be kind.
Focus on the solution, not the problem.
I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious. (Albert Einstein)
Go the extra mile, it’s never crowded. (Wayne Dyer)
Set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed.
Dear Haters, I have so much more for you to be mad at. Just be patient. (The Love Notebook)
Don’t look back, you’re not going that way. (Mary Engelbreit)
Everything is a choice.
Champions keep playing until they get it right. (Billie Jean King)
My best successes came on the heels of failures. (Barbara Corcoran)
Even on my worst day, I’m still killing it.
If you’re terrified of what’s next, you’re on the right track.
I will not compare myself to strangers on the internet.
Be the girl who proved them wrong.
It will be okay.
With so much going on in this world and days where it’s easy to feel hopeless, these mantras are our lifesavers to get us through – reminding us that we are enough and that we have what it takes to accomplish our wildest dreams. If you’re short on time or not used to making mindset a part of your day, you can incorporate these mantras easily into your routine without much effort. Here are some of our favorite ways to keep these mantras front and center:
Write it down. Write it on a post-it note and leave it next to your bed so you’ll see it when you wake up.
Print it out. Print them out in large font and hang it on your bathroom mirror. Read it before you start your day and when you go to bed as a reminder that you’ve got what it takes.
Keep it close. Keep little notes in your purse or workbag with your favorite mantras written on them. Then, if you have a tough meeting or just need a pick-me-up, reach into your bag and pull out one of these sweet little sayings. Want to grab our favorite notes for this? Check out E. Frances Paper’s Little Notes –perfect for your feel-good mantras!
Remind yourself. Set a reminder on your phone to text or alert you with a mantra every day. Try to set it for the time of day when you tend to feel most down, and enjoy your little daily motivation to get through those tough times. Want to go more tech? Even if you’re not a big “mindset” person (we’re not!), the benefit of a few go-to mantras and a system for reminding yourself that you’re enough can be life-changing. Whether you’re an entrepreneur or not, we’re all taking on big challenges and bigger dreams, so it’s nice to have a little reassurance (preferably automated and scheduled so it’s consistent and effortless!) to get through each day.
