Intersectional Feminism: How To Be An Effective Champion of Women With Renee Powers, Founder of Feminist Book Club

We’re kicking off Season 2 with this AMAZING female Founder and overall badass, Renee Powers. Renee is the Founder of Feminist Book Club and is an outspoken advocate for intersectional feminism. In this episode, we’ll dive into Renee’s definition of feminism (compassion, equality, justice, and liberation), why it’s so important to have true self-care in our fight for justice and equality (and no, we’re not talking about bubble baths…) and why compassion is really at the heart of changing minds and changing society. We’ll wrap it up with some tough love on handling uncomfortable topics and how to combat the hate and vitriol that is being spewed all over the internet and sometimes even in our own family gatherings.
